- Massimo Vignelli Poster Tribute
- I was recently asked to design a poster for Husmee Studio Graphique! in association with Vignelli Associates as part of an exhibition to commemorate the life and work of Massimo Vignelli. The exhibition is based on the display of several posters developed by 33 studios at local, national and international levels.Massimo's design work has been a huge inspiration to me over the years, so I wanted to design a poster which was a fitting tribute to him. Taking a similar minimal design approach to my work, the poster has been designed on a six column grid. The large ’31' and ’14’ simply illustrate the date he was born and the date he passed away. I decided to use the iconic red, white and black colour scheme he was so well known for, teamed up with New Rail Alphabet - my preferred san serif.The exhibition takes place at the 'Cultural Centre Okendo' in Donostia/San Sebastian from 19 February — 18 April 2015.Photography by www.gyorgykorossy.com
